I have joined GoingWild THRICE in less than a year. Hence, I will be writing obvious things if I say that GoingWild team members are professional, dedicated, committed, and helpful to the tour participants to the last mile. GoingWild has helped me ignite my dormant love for the wildlife. My first peep of the tiger in the wild from Bandhavgarh to the immense pleasure of seeing the colourful Himalayan birds in Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary are some of the best moments of my life realised in these tours. I am not done with them. My eyes are constantly on the calendar for the next tour with GoingWild to ……..

Before embarking on Sunderbans tour, I kept my expectation low. Certainly, tiger was not on its wish list, as I heard before, for sighting of the swamp cat in this mangrove, the lady luck need to be on your side.
The weather in this tour during first week of October was quite pleasant. As it was my first visit, the topography was all but new. I enjoyed every moment of my stay on the small boat, which gently toured us all day long through its ever winding streams. The freshly prepared snacks and meals by the cook added value to the itinerary.
I was introduced to varied flora and fauna of the mangrove forest by our guide Nityananda. There were so many lifers for me particularly Brown winged Kingfisher, Collared Kingfisher, Black-capped Kingfisher, Mudskippers, Grey-headed Lapwing, Eurasian Curlew, Pacific Golden Plover, etc, to name a few. I also enjoyed the sighting of Salt-water Crocodile, Peregrine falcon and Irrawaddy dolphins from the close quarter. A kill of pied sterling by Changeable Hawk eagle was quite interesting.
During the last leg of our tour, a fresh tiger pug mark was seen moving towards Sujanyakhali. Our guide Nityananda suggested us to wait on the watch tower. After a while, we could see the tiger coming out from the clearing and moving straight to us. It was a huge male. It maintained an eye-contact, as it approached us and then took a detour and vanished into the thicket of mangrove. For me, it was more than a bonus. I had a good amount of data of the swamp king. I returned back on a happy note.

If one wishes to see Sunderban , you need to see through "GOING WILD "EYES !
A true exhilarating experience I had during my maiden trip to such a beautiful and mysterious forest, along with Going wild team , needless to say the guidance and comfort provided by the team was exceptional.
Thank you Soumajit and team, looking forward to more in future.
All my best wishes to the team for their work to make Sunderban "known" to the" unknown".

I was a normal guy..busy with daily life..in the famous RAT race of life....But now I am an ardent Nature lover, a Photographer by passion, a frequenter of wildlife rich areas. This transition took place in a span of 1 year...and I give 100% credit to the Going wild team for this..Going on tours with them to Sunderbans, Pangolakha, Mahananda has helped me change my outlook towards the nature....It will be just a formality to mention that they are carrying out their responsibilities towards guest's hospitality with outmost care..special attention are also given towards female tourists so that they feel comfortable in the length of daily journey. My wife has also accompanied me in two of the tours with them..Most importantly I now feel more relaxed in life after discovering the very common natural places in a different way through the eyes of Going wild...cheers & looking forward to many such trips..

It was second my trip with Goingwild, the first one in the Sunderban. I have heard about Mr. Soumyajit Nandy as the best one in Sunderban. So we were eagerly waiting for the trip to meet him. He is a wonderful person, very down to earth. We just enjoyed the trip with him like a good friend. The trip was excellent, everything was well managed. The food was very very tasty. Moving in a boat through the Sunderban was one of the most memorable time of my life. Only disappointment was the sighting of fewer birds species, we were expecting to see more. But overall the trip was a memorable one. Thank you Soumyajit ji for an outstanding trip....hope to see you in another trip in Sunderban soon.....
