This magnificent land of birds is situated in South Bengal. It takes around three hours by road and then another hour by boat to reach to this wildlife reserve from Kolkata, with a few small villages inside, some monsoon visitors from south-east Asia visits this place. The location of this park is such which a biodiversity junction for birds of North-east India and birds south India, which makes it an important biodiverse area in Sikkim. Here one can find beautiful bird species like White-browed Scimiter Babbler and Terai foothills bird like Chestnut-capped Babbler; also Abbott's Babbler and Loten's Sunbird. Resident species like Mangrove Whistler and Mangrove Pitta have maximum sighting chances. Two exclusive south-east Asian visitor are Ruddy Kingfisher and Buffy Fish Owl and Sundarban is the only place to experience these two beauties.
