So What's special about Kanha?
Kanha needs little introduction when we are talking about Tigers in India. Located in two districts, Mandla and Balaghat of Madhya Pradesh state. The lush green meadows, towering Sal trees and Hard ground Barasinghas make this beautiful park their home. Kanha Tiger Reserve can boast of being one of the tiger parks in India having relatively high tiger density. The park, coupled with its unique ecosystem, and a healthy big cat density help increase the chances of sighting a tiger compared to a lot of other parks in India. This has made the park a popular destination for wildlife lovers who seek the chance of a sighting of this majestic cat in the wild. The barasinghas are unique and can only be seen in this park.
Going deeper into the woods!
According to the understanding of our Tour mentor
Far-flung and in and out coverage of zones like Kanha, Mukki, Kisli and Sarhi is included and is necessary because these are the potential zones where we might get a chance to experience the generosity of His majesty. Not only the legendary cat that rules the forest but also we might stumble upon other animals of this incredible, largely biodiverse forest like leopards, various species of deer, wild boar, sloth bear, some lesser cats, dholes, jackals, fox, many bird species etc.
The King On The Prowl
Imagine you are in Kanha, this is your first forest experience maybe and your eyes catch the sight of a tiger which stealthily, camouflaging like a master, undetected ....approaches its prey and at a striking distance it freezes to take the final leap, the leap of hope for one and death for the other.. the prey, completely unaware of the moves of the tiger happily grazes around and moves towards its death which waits patiently, just behind the thicket, for it to come closer as it will, it turns and baaaammmm! the moment of Impact... How will you feel? We are hopeful that this pivotal moment will reshape your notion of what is possible in the wild.
Watching a tiger in the wild, in itself is an amazing thing, the cherry on the cake being the chance to witness a tiger camouflage, its burning bright eyes and of course essentially its hunting mode.
The store house of mother nature is so overwhelming that it never fails to astound us, the activities of animals, their lives, the hardships they go through, the world of the hunter and the hunted is so well balanced and harmonious that it gives rise to some of the awe-inspiring moments which we enjoy, capture them in beautiful photographs and praise.
